Bali Tech Week 2026 Sets the Stage for Indonesia’s Next Digital Leap

Indonesia’s tech and digital ecosystem is heading to Bali for a week of meeting, building, and dealmaking! From 19 to 23 October 2026, the island will host the inaugural Bali Tech Week (BTW) 2026, an initiative designed to energize the nation’s digital economy and strengthen investor confidence.

Indonesia’s Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Komdigi) officially introduced BTW 2026, Tuesday, 13 October, joined by prominent industry figures: Telkom Indonesia Director of Network Budi Satria Dharma, Telkomsel President Director Nugroho, and GoTo CEO Hans Patuwo.

BTW 2026 is an initiative by Komidigi, co-organized with DS Group, aligned with Komdigi’s three digital transformation priorities: Connected, Growing, and Protected. Through multiple tech events, it connects local and international stakeholders to foster collaboration, partnerships, and new opportunities.

Indonesia’s Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs, Meutya Hafid, stated that advancing the digital economy requires collaboration across multiple stakeholders.

“Global economic growth is increasingly driven by AI, digital infrastructure, reliable data, innovation, and strategic partnership. Indonesia already has a strong foundation to build on, but strengthening investor confidence needs a collective effort. It is a shared responsibility that calls for collaboration across government, industry, and the broader technology ecosystem,” she said, during the BTW 2026 press conference at Komdigi Office.

The opportunity is backed by Indonesia’s expanding digital market. According to the e-Conomy SEA 2025 report by Google, Temasek, and Bain & Company, the country’s digital economy reached approximately US$99 billion in GMV in 2025, growing 14% (YoY).
